Terms of service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Runpacks mobile application and website at runpacks.app (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Runpacks is in a closed beta for invited testers. Features may change or stop.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to have an account and to join runs. Browsing runs and clubs stays open to everyone. Before your first join you confirm that you are 18 or older. That declaration is your own: we do not check it, and a false declaration breaks these Terms.

If we have reason to think an account belongs to someone under 18, we review it within 48 hours and, if so, close it and delete its data (see the Privacy Policy).

3. Your account

To join runs, you sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. There is no password. You are responsible for access to that email account and to any phone where you are signed in. You can sign out in the app at any time. Tell us at hello@runpacks.app if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. User conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Harass, threaten, or intimidate other users.
• Post content that is defamatory, obscene, or violates the rights of others.
• Impersonate another person or entity.
• Give false details about a run.
• Join a run just to see who else has joined.
• Misuse reports, for example by sending false or repeated reports.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts.
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without our written consent.

We review reports by hand. We may cancel unsafe runs or suspend accounts for abuse, and we record a reason when we do. We do not suspend accounts automatically because of how many reports they receive.

5. User content

The content you give the Service is your display name, your after-run answers, the run details you write if you are a club organizer, and the details you add to a report. You keep ownership of it. You allow Runpacks to show it inside the Service to the people who can see it, as described in section 4 of the Privacy Policy. Reports are reviewed by us and are not published.

You are responsible for the content you give and must ensure it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

6. Runs and real-world activities

Runpacks lists group runs. Participation in any run is at your own risk. You acknowledge that physical exercise carries inherent risks, and you participate voluntarily.

Clubs and their organizers run the events, not Runpacks. Runpacks does not check meeting points, routes or venues. After-run plans (coffee, food, drinks) happen outside Runpacks, and any costs are between you and the venue. An "Interested" answer reserves nothing.

7. Joining a run

• A place is confirmed only when the join succeeds.
• A run that is Full takes no more joins. There is no waitlist.
• You can leave a run before it starts, and your place is released.
• An organizer can remove you from their own run and block you from rejoining that run.

8. Organizers

Clubs are added by us, with one organizer each. If you are a club's organizer, you agree to publish accurate run details, keep runs free to join, give a reason when you remove a runner (kept in the club's record and not shown to the runner), and restore a runner's place if you removed them by mistake. Edits to a run's date, time or meeting point, and cancellations, send a notice to the runners who joined.

9. Reporting

You can report a run or a person in the app. We review every report by hand. We do not promise an outcome or a reply, and the person you report is not told who reported them. In an emergency, call 112.

10. Free service

Runpacks is free. It lists only runs that are free to join.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, logos, and software, is the property of Runpacks and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without our written consent.

Map data is from OpenStreetMap contributors and our map provider, used under their terms.

12. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

We send notices of changes and cancellations to runs you joined, but we cannot guarantee that a notice is delivered or read. Check the run before you go.

14. Limitation of liability

Runpacks is a free consumer service, and these Terms are governed by Cypriot and EU law. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, and nothing limits your rights as a consumer.

15. Your responsibility for claims

You are responsible for harm that you cause to others, or to Runpacks, through your own breach of these Terms, to the extent the law makes you responsible.

16. The app stores

If you download the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard licensed-application end-user licence agreement applies as well. If you download it from Google Play, Google Play's terms apply.

17. Closed beta

Runpacks is in a closed beta for invited testers. We do not guarantee that the Service will be available, and data may be reset during the beta. We will give at least 7 days' notice of a reset, by email.

18. The website

The website also hosts a waitlist, a page about upgrades (Runpacks is free, so it takes no payments), and Cyprus club and race pages. These Terms apply to your use of them. See the Privacy Policy for what each collects.

19. Deleting your account and termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app: You → Account → Delete account. If you organize a club, deleting your account cancels the club's upcoming runs, and the runners who joined are sent a cancellation notice. If you do not have the app, see runpacks.app/delete-account. Your data is removed as the Privacy Policy describes.

We may also suspend or end your account for violations of these Terms, under the moderation rules in section 4.

20. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the date above, and for material changes we will tell you in the app in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Disputes may be brought in the courts of Nicosia, Cyprus, without affecting any right you have as a consumer to bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live.
